FAST-TWITCH vs SLOW-TWITCH
Everyone has Fast-twitch fibers and Slow-twitch fibers:

Every athlete, every personal trainer, every power-lifter, and every muscle-head that I know thinks they know everything. Most of you are heading down a one-way street, and if that doesn’t get you where you want to go, then you go straight to steroids as the answer. I don’t know everything and I never will. But I do know that the program “I invented” is far better and creates far greater results than any steroid ever will. Did you know that you can get stronger, in a shorter period of time, by using light-weights?

Email me if you want to challenge my claim.

So here we go, let’s keep it simple:

There are fast-twitch fibers and slow-twitch fibers.
1- Fast-twitch fibers (type-2) are the largest fibers, the strongest fibers, and the fastest reacting fibers (extremely explosive). They are anaerobic (no oxygen), and they burnout after about 5-seconds. What do you run the 40yd dash in? 5-seconds or less? Guess what? All fast-twitch.

2- Slow-twitch fibers (type-1) are the smallest fibers, the weakest fibers, and the slowest reacting fibers (endurance). They are aerobic (oxygen) and they come into play “after” the first 5-seconds.

Olympic sprinters are thick and muscular just like the Olympic gymnasts. All fast-twitch, all anaerobic. Long distance runners are very skinny. All slow-twitch, all aerobic.

All athletes of all sports and events require some sort of explosive strength, explosive speed, explosive jumping, or explosive throwing. Even golf. Tiger Woods has an explosive swing speed of 135mph.

So here it is. Did you know that the traditional weight-training people and athletes have been doing for the past 100yrs, will never stimulate the fast-twitch fibers? And those are the largest and strongest fibers! Hello. Aren’t you trying to get bigger and stronger? Know wonder there is steroid abuse! Doing a slow 3-sets-of-ten reps is an aerobic exercise! No wonder you can’t get any stronger or faster. You are weight-training wrong, and all your coaches, personal trainer’s, and strength and conditioning coaches, are teaching you wrong! They are all “old school”. They are all regurgitating the same old stuff over and over again.

If you want to get stronger very quickly, then use lighter weights and do explosive sets. If you want to get faster... say a fast 40yd dash, then only do exercises that are extremely explosive, and each set is 5-seconds or less. If you want to get faster in the 100m, or 200m, or 400m, then you would of course work on your endurance. Do hard 200m’s to train for the 100m, do 300m’s and 400m’s to train for the 200m, and run 500m’s and 600m’s to train for the 400m. You get the idea.

So wait a minute Chris... how do I figure out what weights to use if I’m going to start using lighter weights? You’ll have to buy the book. It’s all about physics my friends. The faster you do something, the more force you create. Hmmm.

The biggest difference between me and every Olympic athlete that ever lived... They had to train for 4-years... I only trained for 8-weeks!!

There's a 200lb 16yr old football player that benches 500, squats 500 and deads 500lbs. If you are in highschool, and by the time you are a senior you aren't benching 400lbs or more... you did something wrong!
